Central to the religious life of the school is the person of Jesus Christ who came among us ‘as one who serves’ (Luke 22.27). Our Catholic school is committed to reaching out to help those in need, through charitable outreach initiatives. All outreach activities connect to the person of Jesus Christ and to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Drawing on the Catholic Social Teaching of the Church, we have a deep commitment to supporting a range of charitable organisations, families and individuals in need.

Catholic social teaching informs many of the fundraising initiatives undertaken at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School Clifton Gardens. We support a number of Catholic charities including Caritas, Catholic Mission and St Vincent de Paul. We also support our sister school St John’s Auburn, through our Mission Day, where funds are raised and donated to St John’s.

The students also get an opportunity to get to know the students of St John’s through visits to each school, which strengthens the relationship between our two schools, and enables the students to see firsthand who we are helping and supporting.
